Successful Sunday for Motivator

The 29th of May proved to be successful for the Haras du Quesnay-based Motivator with two new impressive winners from his two first French crops.

Her three-year-old daughter Winfola took the Gran Premio Beamonte - Spanish Oaks over 2 400m at La Zarzuela on May, 29th. Trained by Xavier Thomas Demeaulte, the French filly finished up 2016 with a victory in a maiden race in France, the Prix Vision d'Etat at Les Sables d'Olonne. In 2017, she was placed twice before ending sixth in a good handicap race at Saint-Cloud in April, after a great effort to finish. Bred by Christopher Hogg, She is the third foal of Romance Bere (Verglas), a own-sister to River Canon who was third in a Listed race over hurdles at Auteuil. 

Meanwhile, the two-year-old filly Hergame broke her maiden first time out in the Prix de la Reine Blanche over 1 000m at Chantilly.  Trained by Freddy Head, she registrered an easy win by one and a quarter lenghts. Bred by her owners Wertheimer & Frère, she is by Motivator out of the Listed winner Kayaba (Anabaa) who also produced the Gr.3 Prix d'Arenberg and Listed Prix de la Vallée d'Auge Yakaba (Medicean). The second dam Senkaya is a half-sister to the four-time Gr.1 winner and sire Sendawar (Priolo). The latter won the Gr.1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains, Gr.1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp, Gr.1 Prix d'Ispahan and Gr.1 St James's Palace Stakes.

Motivator is the sire of 18 three-year-olds winners and the Gr.1 Prix Saint Alary runner-up Vue Fantastique from his first French crop in 2017. And he has sired 58 Stakes performers to date.
